The Carlos F. Garcia Muentes Scholarship will be awarding a $500 scholarship to one student each year and will be the 2nd year the scholarship is awarded.
The award was set up to support and encourage current undergraduate students, international undergraduate students attending school in the US, all immigrants, including first-and second-generation immigrants-generation students or DACA recipients who are furthering their education.
The Carlos F. Garcia Muentes Scholarship was established to honor the memory of Carlos Garcia. Carlos emigrated to the United States from Manta, Ecuador to give his family a better life. His core values of family and unity are the reason his loved ones would like to continue his legacy and give back to the community.
